How we handle personal information, in line with POPIA.
Last updated 21 July 2026. This policy explains how StoreAccounts.co.za handles personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
StoreAccounts.co.za is an independent information and comparison website. For the purposes of POPIA, we are the responsible party for personal information processed through this site. We are not a credit provider and we do not process account applications.
We collect very little. We do not ask you to submit ID numbers, income details or application data on this site — those go directly to the retailer when you apply on their official channel. We may collect anonymised analytics (pages viewed, device type, approximate region) to improve the site.
We use cookies for analytics and for affiliate tracking. When you click a sponsored link or banner, our advertising partner (including OfferForge and its tracking domains such as ofofa.co.za) may set a cookie so that a resulting account opening can be attributed to us for commission. This does not identify you personally to us. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings.
We do not sell your personal information. Anonymised analytics are processed by our analytics provider. Affiliate networks process click data as described above. We may disclose information if required by law.
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to processing. Contact us at hello@storeaccounts.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
When you apply for an account you leave our site for the retailer's or partner's website, which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their processing of your information.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
